for brushed/silver can racing, either the FX or the FX pro will be fine...

the FX is smaller then the FXPro - so that might help mounting on a F104

Already tried that. As bad as anything. I would go with auto touch up paint if anything. That does have a flex agent. There was a "murdered out" trend out this way a couple years ago, and black auto primer sticks to lexan great, and does not shatter.

It appears to be a F104 Pro with the Tamiya's option Seperated Upper Deck (54278). I can't seem to find any other differences from the CAD drawing.

What servos are you guys running? Is there any advantage to using something other than a standard size servo? I have a brand new Savox 1258tg which I know is total overkill in the torque department. What servos do you guys recommend?

I like how the rear pod gets it's own lateral shock. I always couldn't figure out why we need the friction plate and the center shock combo, because when the car is accelerating and deccelerating, the center shock is supposed to do all the work, but with the friction plate, it adds some secondary damping as well.

I am running the separate upper deck without friction plate, but the car is loose in the mid-corner, or when there is chicane, which the left-right transition is too fast without the friction plate.

I believe that the original friction plate is designed to use with the original coil-spring shock which offers no damping.

F104 X1
