I like how the rear pod gets it's own lateral shock. I always couldn't figure out why we need the friction plate and the center shock combo, because when the car is accelerating and deccelerating, the center shock is supposed to do all the work, but with the friction plate, it adds some secondary damping as well.
I am running the separate upper deck without friction plate, but the car is loose in the mid-corner, or when there is chicane, which the left-right transition is too fast without the friction plate.
I believe that the original friction plate is designed to use with the original coil-spring shock which offers no damping.
