Tamiya F104 Pro!
#4531

We had an issue last year with this structure at tracks where the rubber tires wouldn't hook up on the F104s. Some tracks combined both chassis in the foam class and all the new customers with 104s went home angry. Other tracks separated the cars into two foam classes and that worked well. The wider cars are just SO much more stable.

Yeah...I've addressed my concern over this with Spektrum several times and even once in person at the Snowbirds a few years ago. This is really a not well thought out policy that needs to be changed. My last broken case I raised holy heck and finally got them to send me one out. But it wasn't pleasant..I fought with them over the phone and email for over a week.

i figured most people wouldnt bother with rubber. i like rubber because the tires dont chunk, they last longer and they are cheaper. i know the cars are not as fast and the grip falls off depending on temp and wear, but i like rubber better. it almost seems like the racing is closer because we all are dealing with the same problem. in the end i guess it is all relative.
