I'm quite intrigued by Tamiya's decision to re-release the Lotus on an F103 chassis when they have the others on the F104W.

I'm also quite intrigued by the decision to start re-releasing foam tyre "scale" cars after all their efforts to release rubber tyre "scale" cars in recent years.

So what Tamiya chassis/tyre combo of current/forthcoming production will the F1 cognoscenti favour for outright performance?

Tamiya F103 foam tires in regards to grip are actually quite good. Especially anything labeled as HBR

The Ferrari and the 2 McLarens both show F104W chassis so they will be in-line. The re-released Lotus shows F103 but no info on the battery placement.

perhaps tamiya is going to have 2 classes in f1 tcs racing. f1 foam on f103 and f1 rubber on f104. i am not sure of this, but i am just taking a wild guess. i dont work for tamiya or anything like that.
