The biggest problem is the Tamiya rubber tires pick up all the carpet fuzz and crap, and then the tires loose traction. It seems like this gets better if you use tires that have been run on asphalt, but it never seems to go away 100%. Some tracks are worse than others as well.

Last friday i bought myself a F104 PRO and built it in a rush.
Today it was the first time i drove the car and inmediately the car felt great and super fast.
I even won the first race (after i also took the pole position) of the belgian tamiyacup today, never had to use any additive on the tires for more grip.
Just one option installed on the car (the high traction T-bar) and that's it and the car runs great.
This was one of my most positive expierences with a new car.
It was allmost 2 years ago i drove for the last time my F103 full option and the F104 PRO runs smoother and more relaxed.
Absolutely a top car, if i may say so.

For carpet right?
I know that the Pit Shimizu tires are the tire of choice at TQ Raceway for the F104 but I honestly forgot which ones are the correct ones.
There are 2 soft rear compounds and I don't know which is best and I can't remember what I even have for my F104 when it comes to the fronts, whether they are hard or medium.
Hopefully someone that also runs there will chime in with part numbers for the hot combo.

The best 104 rubber on carpet combination for me is:
Pit Shimizu PS-0575 REAR ( soft compound )
Pit Shimizu PS-0577 FRONT ( 3 compound )
TAMIYA 51378 F104 SPARE WHEEL SET
use the Tamiya foam insert for the rear instead of the stock insert if you have too much rear traction...
use the stock insert if you need more rear traction...
TQ is the only place in the Americas who carries these tires...

I couldn't remember the numbers and I even knew where to look.
I know that Sean (TQ Racing) had ordered the second type of Shimizu soft rear compound but haven't heard if anyone has compared them to the soft tires that we all have been running.
Any word on these?
Supposed to actually be marked for carpet and low bite asphalt.
