really nice job on the paint, well done......can I ask what you used to paint the rear wing chrome?

I only have the rear wing to complete, and not real sure if the PS48 as suggested in the instructions will work.

i found this a really annoying model to paint. I buggered up one part of the chrome paint, so it will become a race body. But I will order another body and do it as say another 2009 scheme car.

You may be able to get chrome vinyl sheet for the wing.

yep, did order some the other day so hopefully that will work

it's a shame tamiya didn't include them with the chrome sheet for the front wings...must have come down to cost i suppose.

i did use a vinyl sheet, but it is not chrome it is silver. the wing still looks good with the rest of the car being chrome. the one thing that pissed me off about this body set is that tamiya didnt include a decal for the rear wing. they suggest to paint it. thats dumb, because one crash and the paint will chip off of the wing.

Tamiya's model paint for plastics works great. I believe the color is Metallic Silver or Aluminum. The paint doesn't chip. I use Tamiya's paint for my wheels and if anything it scratches

Hi Guy's

The time has come for me to paint my first ever f1 shell for my tamiya f104 pro black edition. I was possibly wondering if someone would be able to post up a photo of a pre-race concourse f1 body line up or a link to a gallery of f1 bodies please as I would like to see what's out there in ideas for my body.

Thanks

Yes there is truth to it, got all kinds of stuff coming in the next week, including my first official F1 Paintlab product; carbon fiber decal material that I am having printed to my specs. It is a pattern that I developed and scaled to work with RCF1 cars. Will post pics as soon as I have the first batch. Will also be offering kits for sale and built to order chassis and turnkey cars , with or without electronics

Default Question.

Tamiya F104 Pro!-etihad-airways.jpg
I'm the proud owner of this georgous black Ferrari. It's body is the standard F60 body.
What is the difference between this one and the "light-wieght" version?
