I'm looking for some advice! I just finished my F60 kit and I wanted to get a brushless motor/esc setup for a decent price. I'm looking around 17.5 for the motor and I wanna run 2s lipos. i wanna try and find the cheapest plug in play combo but something decent in quality! Thank you in advance for any help I receive! Also I'm going to use a Traxxas Tq micro receiver that I have left over if that makes any difference with the motor/esc combo.

you're right, the outside part of the tire glued on the outside part of the rim.....but no need to worry about the strength since there is a thicker layer inside the tire for supporting the side wall of the tire.

i just ran the shimizu soft fronts,a and WOW, i traction rolled all day. these tires are pretty good on carpet. anybody have any experience with the medium on carpet?

I know they are the bomb for carpet but street?

Charles? Whatdya say?
I tried the Tamiya rear inserted Shimizu on Asphalt last weekend... Not the ticket for me... The stock insert worked out better...

Hi, helping out a friend with his F104 Pro frp for a Tamiya Cup Series. Out of the box on asphalt the car was loose in the rear. So I loosen off the friction plate spring, washed out the grease and applied some shock oil in its place like the Corally F1's do. This gave the car good rear grip but the car pushed on power and the rear was loose if you mashed the throttle. I ran out of time to play around...

So what is a good base setup on Tamiya rubber for asphalt?
What lube does everyone use on the friction plate?

Thanks....

thank you for the response. thats interesting, as the tamiya inserts fill the tire out well.

I played around with both, and when I tried the stock insert which is very thin, there appears to be so much space between the wheel and tire. I'll give the tamiya's and stock a try and see how it goes.

Best place to buy replacement parts (front and rear wings, etc.)? It seems everything is across the globe, even from ebay!

Try 45 weight in the center shock and 3000k on dampner disc.

Popular question and now that a couple places are actually keeping some of our stuff in stock, I'll keep mentioning them

1. Tamiyausa.com

2. speedtechrc.com

3. tqrcracing.com

So is the Exotek chassis conversion for the F104 Pro noticeably better with rubber tires on asphalt? Debating if I should give the conversion a try?
