You really should NOT use banana style plugs with a graphite chassis. This was going to happen with that style battery. If you can---change over to a wired dean's plug style--then no plugs will be exposed to the carbon chassis.

No issues here with the bannana plugs, many of us use them, no chassis grinding either.
Just a little trimming of the battery hold down clip, and sensible wiring is all that's needed.
fmw made a bannana to deans harness which is a clean way to do it.
I did it another way.
Some tape on the underside of the top tray to keep things safe while sliding the lipo in and out is a good idea too.
With the battery clip there is no way the battery post can touch, and it keeps the battery from moving if the car should come to a sudden stop
This works well with Orion lipos 3200, 3400, 3800.
I suspect there may be issues with taller lipos that have no clearance between the upper tray and chassis.

hi every1,
i hope this is the right place to ask
not driving f104 atm, but other direct-drive 2wd pan car
the problem is, the car can't seem to be able to brake properly
using GTB with 5.5R(yeah i know it sounds crazy) with 4.2 ratio
the weird thing is, if the car is reversing and i pull the trigger to accelerate, there will be massive wheelspin, which means there is enough torque to change the rotation direction
but why can't the wheel at least lock while braking?
is my esc to be blamed?
hope u guys can help
thanks

It sounds like you have the problem sorted...
Does indeed sound like your esc setting for brake might be lower than you want.

anyway, watched some videos on youtube regarding this kind of chassis
is the brake really a must?
cos all i can see is the car can jz slide into turn n slows midturn

I'm almost finished with my F104 pro build. I decided to replicate the 2010 Ferrari F10. I made custom decals, and used a combination of white krylon fusion and TS-85 spray on the wings. I have plenty extra decals if anyone wants some. I cant wait to drive it!

How did the TS85 work out for you so far?... have you run the car yet?
