  • Quote: RBF...just got some goodies to try out this weekend Do you remember how Fred mounted his cut inserts. Was the trapezoidal shape pointed towards the rim or away? And did he size to fit off the rim and more towards the tire or was it sized to fit against the rim?

Oh yeah..the F60 body parts set is no joke. It even comes with wheels spats. May have it done on the third of never
    Sup Rtype
I believe FMW assembled them in the normal fashion
Just be careful to leave enough room between the insert and rim
for air to escape through the wheel vent holes.
    Grats on the F60 parts.
Question is, are you going with the F60 scheme, or something further up the grid
  • Quote: i have both, but havent ran the f60 yet. rite away i noticed a difference with the parts. 1 the pro has a carbon shaft, a way better servo saver, stronger tie rod links and you can change wheels without readjusting the diff everytime, the center shock is actualy a shock, the f60 shock is just a spring no fluid. by the time you replace all these things it will have add up to prob more than the pro. the f60 body set is $26. i race my pro and just play with the f60. I think if you want to race get the pro and the f60 body, but if you want to play get the f60 kit. thats just my opinion.
Cool thanks Gsxr. Yeah I only know of one person that has one around here. This is going to be for fun.
  • Quote: The Shimizu 104 rubber tires are made to fit 104 foam rims.
Quote: yes. the shimizu tires are made to fit on the foam 104 pro wheels.
Wheel, just confirmed in Shimizu, but i saw in RCmart, it said RP tire could be also fit with F104 foam wheels. That's why i ask you about this.

Well, I guess that could be the TRG wheel.
I like more the Tamiya original wheel, in fact is not any bad look and cheaper than TRG.

    Anyway, thanks for your replies!
  • Quote: can anybody tell me where to get the f60 paint from ? i looked on ebay, couldnt find it.
I was checking around for this as well and it looks like Tower Hobbies will have them in stock late this month. I guess it sold out that fast or what?
  • Quote: You know... carbon, aluminum, TRF shock. The F60 can be had for 180 and it comes with esc and motor. Trying to keep it cheap but I want it to handle great for what it is. I might be asking for too much because I have the tendency to drop tons of money on upgrades. This is going to be a huge test for me to keep it bone stock.
I paid $159.95 for the F60 (Free Shipping) here in the US (Ultimate Hobbies). If you don't mind waiting until some of these products reach the US, you can get them at a decent price.

I also purchased the F104 Pro. I paid $189.99 (free shipping) for it from Tower.
  • type b?
Has anyone tried the type b foam tyres ?
  • Should be here next week to try at PRECC...

Car was good with kit foams. just a wee bit skatey on power... but the B foams should fix that. No traction compound at all...

Thanks for the info. Do you remember if Freydoh was using 24mm inserts or 26mm inserts? Sorry, I was distracted by the servo/ackerman/bumpsteer "adjustments" I was working on

As for the F60 scheme, I'm not sure. Ideally, I would like to do a shelf queen (forgot the paint ) and a runner that will most certainly not be red. At this time, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it.

Great deals! You didn't have to pay any sales tax, since you are out of state too.
  • Is there a coupon for the free shipping? Tower sells the pro for 229.00

I concur, it's like I was reading what I had done, (as far as just having the Pro and purchasing the f60 body) Having the PRO is the way to go!

I will say this about TRG, you can't apply the wheel spat on TRG wheels, won't fit... Sucks, but I think that they're impractical anyway when it comes to gettin down, racing! Besides, one good hit, and it's over (spats)... You'd be trackin down were your spats are on the track, bummer.

There is a coupon code number, however, you have to be a member. The cost for membership is only $9.99 and shipping on all orders over $150 are free. Tower sends me email messages almost weekly with these deals. The coupons are great on some things, but Tower's prices are generally very high.

For the F104 Pro @ Tower's $229 price, $40 off makes it a very good deal.

    See attached coupon list.

That means you too GREG S.LOL.
  • I added some carbonfiber wingletts to the front of the f60.
They are adjustable , up for less front downforce or down for more downforce or level for neutral.
see pics below. I am adding some to the rear wings too, just over the tires.
I will post pics when done
