Tamiya F104 Pro!

Anyone care to take a guess as to whether it's TCS legal to ditch the ESC/Rx trays? My TP lipo is so wide that it touches the posts on both sides, so there's no room for the trays to wrap around the posts. I can get my small ESC/Rx to stay put on the chassis, but would this be considered an illegal "removal or modification"?

The side pods ADD strength, and look cool, but do add weight.
As far as space, you have more space without the pods that with, the instructions are a translation from Japan, and in this case I'd say they are inaccurate.
The standard setup for bump steer is also not quite right from the manual.

Thanks for telling. I completely missed that piece and I really can use it since I like to do the later in the season Toro Rosso STR4.

I'm staring at all three pieces of lexan right out of my Pro kit, but I don't see it anywhere.

Ooops, just realized you got the Pro, not the f60. I guess those wanting the f60 can still benifit...

I will call it the ferrari test car as it was not done to exact spec.
see pic.
To complete the above......the frp chassis has about 5% more flex than the carbon when assembled. Has about 20% more flex unasembled.
I had expected more flex so i will probally use the carbon stuff for more bling if I see no diff. on the track. I did not use the side pods. Enjoy

Body painted and just applying the finishing touches. Some time was taken to cut it all out etc, and I'm still not happy with the result for the induction pod and side pod additional pieces......they are hard to make stick that's for sure. I think it missing the bar code stickers.
Will finish side mirror's and bargeboards soon and fix them to that.
Fat500....nice job.

Question for everyone. I am a big F1 fan from the US and so I recently purchased an f104, f10, and f109. My question to you all, will the HPI f10 bridgestone tires fit on the Mesh wheels from tamiya? Also, for the 3Racing f109, what wheels and body will work with this chassis? thanks again for the help.
