They (HW) told me many times they had no plan to do a car controller, but then I was surprised when Pan started asking me questions of what I would want in a car controller. I even have the first Xerun to hit the US. My last idea for them was the LCD programmer with the USB update. I'll be waiting now to see how many companies will do the HW way and wait a little to get something nice done. Good thing I saved all the MSN messages I had with Pan. I have to figure out how not to affect a US company.
You going to get them to pay you some royalties for your ideas?

Kinds regards,
as The latest Firmware might not goin to release for it's ESC,
Since The Firmware Damage i found is not yet solved by Speed Passion

Either Hobbywing,Fletta etc, based Hobbywing had same Problem,
Other Company such Losi Excelorin, and Castle Creation, also
had the same Problem, Firmware Damaged is unsolved yet.

as the LCD until now can't fix ESC Firmware Damage yet,..

Firmware Damage must have the solution first,
before latest Firmware is released.
This is Up to Shawn Palmer for the Product Development.

With Shawn heading up that new thing, does that mean we have support in the USA for Speed Passion issues? Do we then send stuff to this new support office or does it need to go direct to HK?

Lastly, just saw the Much More speedo:

whats up with that??

I guess the part I am curious about is this from the description:

wonder if they put USB on the ESC?
Nothing wrong with Much More version....if you look at the box, it said on the box it is by SPEED PASSION...really, saw that at the shop and the shop owner asked me the same thing. I don't even know that they would even list SP on their Much More box.

OEM...if you pay the right price, you can have your own name on the speedo too.

It is very hard to tell at what "stage" the motor will fail....when my motor fail, a lap before that, I was still running some fast lap...but once it get to the "melting" point, it just SNAP....my car just simply stop in the middle of the lane and die.

Thats why there are some firmware is NOT suppose to be release.

This Much More Speedo is very much the same as the Speed Passion version, it requried a LCD programmer box to upload software. I bet they will release something like that soon.

Ohhhh please. Never heard of double sided tape?

It was an obvious attempt to hide the Tekin ESC. Tape on the outside of the case doesn't hold heatsinks on

Maybe not, but do you really think double sided tape is an effective way to attach a heat sink? Seems to me you would want to transfer heat to the sink, not insulate it.

LRP uses a double sided tape to attach the heat sink on the SPX esc. It is a special very thin tape from 3M.

Sticking a heat sink on top of a tekin would not affect it as its post act as its heat sink
