I have been running reventon from the start also and was running the tekin rs pro and i haven't had any problems with it. Since I switch bands i'm faster than the other guys that use tekins. The reventon pro is the smoothest esc I have own and use to dis date, I run 13.5 motor on a large on road track with nitro car and i'm just as fast or faster..........

I'm having trouble with brakes on the reventon pro. i use the speedo with a revtech 13.5 and i have almost no brakes even though they are set to 100%. i have to crank drag brake up to 40% to get the car to stop.

Any suggestions?

hi have u tried 90-80% as you might be locking up the wheels ? i had to do this at my track and though it was poor brakes, also some motors if they r rev-y dont have alot of brakes never tried a rev tech? but i know gm and x12 have great brakes

LOL...locked brakes. That's funny. Actually I've had this problem with the SP v2 pro and also the hobbywing. Really weak brakes. they seem to work a lot better in mod. I'm going to try a SP motor with the reventon to see if it's any better using it's own motor

Yes he's right, locked brakes. Try to start with 50% brakes on reventon, this speedo seriously has great breaking system. I tried to use first 100%, after 80% and the good way on my track is 55% at the moment.

Thank for the help but they brakes aren't close to locking. they aren't grabbing at all. I should mention, this is when i try to brake hard at the end of a high speed section. i badly overshoot the turn because i get practically "NO" brakes. Brakes work ok at short shoots and low speed sections

I just bought a renventon R for my new TCXX. Sounds like mixed feelings on how these work?

my reventon is very smooth and the software updates are easy and the interface is nice. I just have trouble with brakes using stock motors

if the "R" can handle an 8.5...you'll probably be ok.

I wonder if the problem with stock is because we normally run stock motors with the timing advanced quite a bit. When I run mod, i don't advance the timing at all

Wow, I only read the last two pages of this forum and now I'm wondering if I should not have ordered my 8.5T v3 Combo Set lol.

Does the ESC/Motor come with all the necessary bullets for all connections? I know I'll have to solder some stuff up but didn't know if I needed to order bullet connectors.
