did you add solder to your iron. Once you add it should be hot enough to then desolder existing plugs.
I've extended cables due to ease and have not felt a degrade in performance if that's your concern

technically a motor would run without a sensor cable. I'm just not sure how well.

You need a good hot iron and "pre-tin" before applying it.

Hi guys,
Having trouble with an SP Reventon pro 1.1 and 21.5t MMM motor. It runs in reverse when I pull the throttle and if i reverse the direction of the throttle on my TX all it does is move backwards when i brake the car. Is my only option to resolder? I'm using it with a Futaba 3PL TX and I followed the manual instructions where it told me to reverse the direction of the throttle while linking the TX & RX and if I don't reverse it while linking the car doesn't respond to TX at all. \

Thanks in advance!

Reverse Throttle first. Then calibrate the radio to the ESC. If it's going backwards still....

A and C wires might be wrong/reversed

The Purple ring one is standard with the MMM?

Is the RS13803NA Competition V3.0 9.5T-21.5T Rotor a high Torque rotor

Well, somehow I received an RMA from the SpeedPassion.net site that has been allegedly down for 6 months but SP is helping. Hopefully I get my Pro 1.1 back in the mail!

Has there been any news/development/firmware lately? This thread seems dead.

Plenty racing is happening. A lot of the news from races are posted on the Facebook page.

There should be some new developments/news after the holidays :)

or from USA distributor Speed Power's Facebook page...

old reventon pro

Here is my first post on the rctech forum =)

I currently fried my old reventon pro esc, but luckily got hold of a similar reventon pro esc. I say similar because it's not exactly the same, but both are reventon pro's. I did notice small differences between the two. First off the fan mounted on my old esc didn't fit the new esc, the new esc had mounting holes for a larger fan.
Do anybody know if they made changes to the esc during it's production?

First pack testing the esc in my 2wd buggy I instantly noticed a different "hum" from the motor. Also the trigger felt smoother, I really liked that, bud the brakes where weaker compared to my now fried reventon.

I tried the stock v20 firmware (the one focused on brakes), it did do some good things but it had cogging at low rpm's.
I then read on petitrc that the much more fleta 4 firmware would be better, tried that aswell but stil had low speed cogging and even spikes in rpm in midrange rpm's.

I would like you to share your experience with firmwares on this esc.
Any recommendation wold be appreciated.
Also why would there be such differences in performance for the brakes? Different fet's maybe?

HI,

I just bought a Reventon Pro EX 1.1 to run in my Pro10 (2S, boosted 10.5T). Can someone please recommend a starting point for software and settings? I've tried reading about the Stock1 and Mod1 options, but I must admit I'm a bit confused. I normally run Hobbywing.

Thanks, Scott

Anyone know what's up with the Speed Power website? I tried to order some stuff during their BF sale and couldn't because the store was down for upgrades. I checked tonight and its still like that. Kinda makes it hard to support SP...
