How do you go about changing the drag brake setting? Do you need a program box? Referring to the reventon stock spec race esc.

The easiest way is to use a programming card. If you don't own one download the instructions...

Just so you know, the SP stock club race does not have reverse. I don't know about the others. |
I have a Reventon-R with a SP 10.5R MMM motor.
The motor has the red plus-10 sensor board, the esc is set at 18.75 timing. Is this a safe setup? It's a 2 cell lipo, 1/10 off road dirt course. |

Timing sounds fine. Just make sure your gearing ideal for the track.

Hello,
I burned my Reventon R ESC wich is 3 month old. Maybe it was to much timing on the 13.5t v3-mmm motor? After 6 minutes running the motor stopped and it came smoke out of my Xray T4 :/ I run this combo on 2s 6000mAh turnigy lipo. The motor is «stocky» too now (it is difficult to turn the shaft). Anyway, I need help to find out of this and to get the right part to fix the problem. Can You tell me what kind part it is on the ESC wich is shown in the pictures, and where can I get one, to solder it by myself..? Thanks! :) http://www.fron.de/wp-content/upload...4/DSC_0828.jpg http://www.fron.de/wp-content/upload...4/DSC_0829.jpg http://www.fron.de/wp-content/upload...4/DSC_0830.jpg http://www.fron.de/wp-content/upload...4/DSC_0831.jpg |
That looks like a jumper to me but someone else will chime in. You would probably do better to get a new one rather than fuss with the repair.

Send the same message to SP-service-center. Will se if they can help... :)

Will any of the reventon run a brushed motor?

If you search for a data sheet using any numbers on the chip you may find the exact part number and be able to replace it. I doubt SP will tell you, Novak were no help in my case. They just point you to warranty support. |
