Thanks Shawn, the next weekend tested it.
The last week, i classified 2nd and finish 1st in final A, with SP motor. With this suggestions, and litle good luck, i hope repeat , ;):):nod: Greetings, Luis C. |
I just noticed that my 13.5 has zero endplay...is this the recommended tolerance or should there be .5-1mm like a brushed motor? Thanks!

Hey Tim the sp 10.5 will need a bit more pinion then the novak to feel comparable, it is a more tork based motor. Try gearing it up a few teeth but watch the temp, also the sp motors run well with a lot of esc timing.

Yes, you'll need to be geared up a few teeth from where you had the Novak. Thanks Shawn. I'm at 5.4 now so your saying 5.2 or lower? |
Shawn, this is what caused the broken case. Cheers.

OW Charlie!
That reminds me of those "amazing X-ray" emails with the nails and fence posts through people's skulls! I like the colors though - black and yellow rox! |
Tim - yes, 5.2-5.0 :)
|
flatspun - yes, at least .5mm, and about 1mm max.

Why didn't Mike Haynes win the spelling b?
Because Mike Haynes is too fast to be in the B. |
Hey Guys, i am going to buy a SpeedPassion 2.0. Motor. I was going to get a 4.0. My question is do all of the motors have an inbuilt fan or are there some without? I have been told to get the one without the fan.:nod:
Also are the normal ones the same as the special edition motors. Eg the Mark R, Jilles edition etc. If there are ones without the fan could i posssibly get a Pn? Thanks |
[QUOTE=Shawn Palmer;5678929]Hi Russ:
Start with 98/34 and the timing advance maxxed out. If you didn't run the timing maxxed in your 1.1, then take away another tooth per advance setting you are going up. Keep your eye on motor temps every minute or so for the first few runs. If you follow the above, you'll be within a few teeth either way. (too hot - lose another tooth or two, or not quite fast enough add a shawn , is that maxing out motor timming or the speedo's settings???? |
