There have only ever been two different shrink wraps on the GP's and you have the newer ones. There have been different generations, but I don't know anything about how to tell, other than you can't from that picture.

I'm pretty sure they were only available with the rainbow shrink wrap when they first came out around June until like December/January a year ago, then the wrap you have started popping up. The real early cells were only like 1.14-1.15 voltage and the IR was a little higher than what we have now, think runtime was same. So I'd say that the cells you got should be OK for numbers like at least 1.16, 2.5, but I don't think GP codes their cells like Sanyo did by using a stamp on the end of the cells so untimately there is no definate way to really know for sure. There is a few different shrink wraps out there but the cells are no different than another brand even if they are the "SP" cells, GP offers the same cell to everybody and if they make it better then I understand it's a running change and not offered as a different cell. Yokomo's are blue, SMC like what you have, Trinity I think stuck with the rainbow wrap, Reedy's are blue/yellow I think, not sure on any other matchers.

as far as i know there has now been 3 generations of GP cells..

1st generation voltage from 1.12-1.15 IR over 3.0
2nd generation voltage from 1.15-1.18+ IR under 3.0
3rd generation voltage under 1.18 IR less than 2.6 small button

DOES NOT MATTER WHAT COLOR THEY ARE, they are all the same inside.

there ya go battery 101 he he

btw that picture is of one GP3300 and the rest are all sanyo 2000's..if that is a pack of batteries you are showing us you got taken badly..that pack will run like crap!

From the looks of it, 2nd gen most likely. Like with all cells, there are good cells and there are bad cells.
