We should explain a few of the unique features of the Quad12.
* The parts for the Q12 are cut from the highest quality carbon fiber using a multi directional lay up. Some others use bi-directional "component grade" carbon fiber to reduce costs. We don't offer our kits in colors. The colored layers are fiberglass. It adds weight and does not contribute to the strength of the chassis. How many turquoise Indy car tubs have you seen?
*The batteries are inline with the T-bar and moved inward as much as possible. This allows the car to change directions very quickly and smoothly.
* The adjustable battery positions allow you to move the batteries forward or back over a range of .400" in .100" increments.
* The chassis and bottom plate each have a small notch located along the centerline of the car to aid in tweaking and checking width.
*And the number one feature of the Quad12? No battery tape!! Our tapeless Cell Retention System holds the batteries in place using a unique 3 point system.

Hi everybody!!
I was asked about the extra weight of the battery retention system the other day and how it effects the car. So for thoes who are wondering. If you take every piece of carbon fiber the chassis, pod plates, ect, and put a 45 degree bevel on every edge you can actually shave off .9 ounces. The car is still over the roar minium by just 2.3 ounces with tires that are .2-.3" larger than what I would normally use at a national race.
It take a lot of work but is well worth it.
Also, due to the high quality of the carbon that Doug uses there is no need to glue to edges to seal them. I have not had one problem with the carbon spliting and thats with almost one year of running.

I should also mention the weight is with a 6 cell reciever pack and a Novak GT7.

Hey kids.
Can't wait for the indoor season to come into full swing.
I have all of my other parts sitting here and waiting to be attached to a new Q12 chassis. The trinity car has been officially retired.

I've been tooling around the rcscrewz track in my 12l4 and it works pretty darn good. I just can't wait to pull it apart and slap it together as a Q12.

first question is did you is the weight of the car with you putting a 45 on all the graphite?
guess what I am saying is you took .9 oz off the car and was still 2.3 over?
2.3 over what weight? because the current roar rules say 795.2g which is 28.0 but I don't know if that is with transponder or not.

I did weigh the car before and after.
Currently the car weighs in at 30.3 ounces. Again thats with a 6 cell reciever pack, transponder, and tires that are .3" larger that what I would run them.
If I shave the .3" off the tires I should weigh in 29 ounces. Thats real good considering the receiver pack and all.
