Default Running a stick pack on a TA-05 with 3Racing CF chassis

Hi all, I have just purchased a 3Racing CF chassis for my TA-05 IFSR. Unfortunately I overlooked the fact that the CF chassis does not come with a holder for stick packs. I realise some of the Tamiya models like the TB EVO 5 have a stick pack holder for the CF chassis.

Can anyone tell me if I can buy some sort of holder to use with the 3Racing chassis or can any part from the Tamiya spares list fit?

Yup it has openings. I'm fine with tape but it will make battery changes quite a hassle, no? I'm running LiPo sticks now so I probably won't be running saddle packs anytime soon unless they make polymer cells in a sub-c form factor. haha.

IF your lipo's have the nobs on the the bottom that mimic side-by-side nickle cells, then simply tape to keep your batteries in. It workes wonders. Just make very sure to file the sharp edges of the carbon round where they touch the tape. You don't have to take much off at all for it to work. Nexus racing sells a very good strapping tape that is black for cheap. Otherwise there are many colors to choose from in Sliontec. Sliontec is the prettey stuff you see on all the pro cars. It's very strong and sticky. It's sold by Integy, Top, Tamiya, and many other brands, but it's all the same thing (just different widths)...

Unfortunately mine does not mimic the rounded edges of the normal cells. Am trying to design an aluminium holder that can bolt into the pre-drilled holes on the chassis but it's proving to be quite a hassle to machine.

On the non ifs 3racing chassis, there is a velcro battery holder, is this something that could help you?

You can see it here, (albeit not too clearly) in the first picture of the chassis guide...

It might help. But unfortunately mine doesn't come with this facility. does any one know if I can buy the strap and brackets seperately?
