Brodieman, you can convert an mi3 into a mi4 but the cost is to high buying the parts to convert. If you want a good car for what you are discribing you should look for a carpet built mi3 or mi4 and run jaco nitro shoes for tires. I ran a season on a really rough tar track and had crazy grip with those foams,I tried rubber tires and had no grip. Basiclly if you are running 10th scale nitro were you are running, run the same foams they are, you will have similar grip and thats the reason why you would want to run a stiffer chasis set up because of the level of grip you get. Out of the box both cars are set up for rubber tire and have alot of flex in them. I would shoot for the mi4 if you can but mi3's most likely have better prices on them.

Boo-Urns. That is my only concern with Schumacher is parts availability in North America but I only see it getting better. Plus the Mi's and Cat SX look really bullet-proof so probably won't need to stock pile as much as I do for my XXX4 Noticed pics with black anodized parts, where do you get those? very stealthy

If your speaking of Brandon Clement's (BlackedOutRevo) black MI4 parts, those were done by my anodizing service. He has one of the sickest car's around if you ask me (And everybody else that respects clean looking cars)

Default 3.5

I'm picking up a 3.5 and I have a few questions:

1. Are the tools metric?

2. What spare parts should I get?

3. Any suggestions on what I should change?

Thanks.

1. Yes, they're all metric sizes.

2. The usual; lower arms, C-Hubs, rear hubs, front bumper moldings, etc etc.

3. If by change you mean add, nothing really. The 3.5 comes with most of the options that were released for the Mi3, less the wide rear shock tower.

Default 09 classic setup

for those who pm'ed me, i've attached my setup from the classic. i never solved a pretty heavy on-power push (i would like to have tried larger (4-hole) pistons in the rear), but it was safe enough to run real tight with and end up finishing mid-pack among some good racers ...

(i ran the speed passion lpf with 40% drag brake).
