it's a specific fit, but like skypilot noted, it's thicker. if you recess the top and bottom around 2~3mm, it looks great, and the recessed shoulder takes the brunt of the force, keeping bumper solid fitting for a long time.

i've attached a pic from this weekend's negs race to illustrate this. incidentally, my car was completely awesome. in spite of my mediocre driving, i was still able to qualify 2nd behind keven hebert. what a waste of a good chassis ... in fact, all of our local schumacher drivers had very good cars for this leg.

Goetz's car was AWESOME. Thier is no other way to put it. I see a new setup coming soon... Chris's car never bad but kept getting better as the weekend went along.

All 5 MI4's looked good this weekend

Steve- Yeah I had a pretty good weekend... I kinda decided to have a tap party in the last rd of qualifying and it killed me b/c the track was so fast the last rd... I sat top 5-6 all weekend till the 4th rd...

The the A-main wasjust like all the mains... as somone told me, mains will be mains...lol

was up to 4th and then got rolled by a lapper and had to wait to be marshalled as I ended up on my lid...

Car was great all weekend

Hey Guys - anyone know of a US source for U3494 pivot blocks for the Mi4? Broke mine this past Saturday, and need a set for racing next Saturday...

Thanks for any info..

Thanks Smitty - unfortunately that was my first call, to Adam, and they are out of stock for both the plastic and alloy parts.....as are Amain, SpeedTech, and just about every other online vendor I could think of. Googled them, and the only places they are showing up is on uk sites...

Posted on here hoping that one of you knows of a local shop that has Schumacher parts that I could call and pay them to send me a set...I have some on backorder from Schumacher, but we have a big race next weekend that I was hoping to make.

Dead in the water without the pivot blocks...

Appreciate the response...

I tried recessing 1 of the 3 bumpers I bought, and it came out kinda funny; tilted a bit because I wasn't able to recess the bumper evenly front to back. I used an exacto to trace the bumper top and bottom into the foam. I then tried to saw the piece out, but couldn't keep it consistent. Any tips for getting this right? Dremel? Diagonal cutters? Thanks for spreading good info publicly.

i did it the same way. i guess you just have to hold the x-acto pretty square. if in doubt, start by angling to the thin side. you can always slice or dremel out some extra once you see what's going on after tearing the piece out.
