  • The narrow hex reduces the offset between the king pin and the hex. Generally it gives more steering.
    All the top UK team run with this set up with 2.5-2.75mm of washers against the pivot block.
    Std hex in the rear with 1mm washer against the block.

    Yer just noticed now you and Grainger wrote Narrow Hex U3570 under driver notes. Ill have to snap a pair up soon. By standard in the rear do you mean the ones that come with the kit?

    You also wrote under tyres Sorex 28 JB, i usually use the 28's a lot but i dont think theyre JB. Whats the difference?

    The Mi3 ones are a different part no to the Mi4 ones, so guessing they won't fit.

    yeah. from the mi2ec to the present mi4lp, the axles have the same geometry. (they have changed materials, though, as have the bones).

    I can answer that for Chris, the standard in the rear are the ones that come in the kit.

    The Sorex tyres with the JB have a foam insert in rather than the grey rubber insert in the other type available. The JB version has more grip, and equates to being about half a second a lap quicker. This is on carpet, I wouldn't like to say what they are like outside.

    In a couple of hours ill be trying kit setup but next week ill order some narrow hexes and stick the spacers on the front and give that a blast

    here's a quick (but incomplete) synopsis: (and in chronological order)

    2991 - 3.9mm wide (mi2ec through mi3.5 kits - oring style)
    3221 - 3.9mm wide (slip-on, no o-ring, released for mi3)
    3525 - 4.9mm wide (mi4 kit - oring style)
    3570 - 3.9mm wide?? (no idea what's different)

    U3221 and U3570 are less than 3.9mm, don't have the U3221 in front of me but guessing it's 2.99mm. U3221 is slip on no o-ring/ U3570 has o-ring according to description.
