Schumacher Mi4

No, no twin point steering on ours.
Mine is the standard Mi4 (before the lp/CX/CXL versions). My son runs the CX variant.
The only changes from the kit are green Schumacher springs on the front of my car, and my son is running HPI pink/silver springs. That's it.

Here's a bump to keep this thread from being six months dead!
Still running a few Mi4s and one Mi3.5. Well, kinda on the Mi3.5. It might end up as a drift car with a one-way up front and a spool in the back, but I'm not sure if I can get enough steering angle out of it. My son and I are still running our Mi4 LPs in VTA and my CXL is still holding its own in USGT. Good times...
I haven't really thought about updating to newer machinery too hard. On-road locally is fizzling out a bit. If I did pick up a new chassis I'd probably run 17.5 Blinky, but haven't had much desire to do that as of late (been doing more off-road racing, too).
So those of you who have moved on to another chassis, what did you go to?

Fizzling here too; if it weren't, I would likely pick up an XRay. Just got an XB4 and am very impressed. Still think the motor mount on the Mi4 is awesome.

I retired my Mi4 LP to shelf queen status at the end of last carpet season. I won't be selling it, though. Although I might have some spares I could part with.

I am looking forward to running VTA for the first time this coming winter/ indoor carpet season.
Had to drag out my old TC to re-build especially. ..... seeing as its the only electric chassis I have

hello been awhile. I have changed my mi4cxl over to the mi5 type front and rear hub mounts. Just to see wheat it looked like and see if it steal handles and tight as it did. the rear camber links are shorter. I use the out side holes for the camber gain. Should I get the 4 slotted camber link or #2 to keep the same gain in the rear? and will the mi5evo servo mount work on this car with the slider type steering link instead of the twin?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I am just re-building my MI4LP for VTA racing this winter.
I have a question for you MI4 racers......
Have any of you ran these 'Shorty' LiPo battery's in the MI4?
I'm just at the stage of assembling/ mounting the electrics into the car and thought I would give it a go.
I've tried moving the battery fully foreward and in.... towards the long front belt and mounting the esc behind it on the same side of the car as the battery.
With the reduced weight of the 'Shorty', the weight distribution doesn't seam too bad at all.
It gives more room on the motor side for the wires and receiver.
I'm running the Novak Edge VTA esc/ motor combo with Airtronics receiver and low profile servo.
Any thoughts?
Regards

Hello
I have a mi4 lp and in need of a manual. The on line manual comes in fuzzy on the writing part can't read it. The pictures or diagrams look okay just can't read it . Schumacher dose not have any just on line for this car. But a main has one for the mi4.is it almost the same car as the mi4lp.
Thanks

I think I'm right in saying that the Mi4, Mi4LP and Mi4CX are almost identical. You should be fine with any of those manuals.
It's only when you get to the Mi4CXL that things are a little different.

Where's the best place to get Schumacher parts on line .a main dose not carry a lot of mi4lp parts anymore?
#3930

Looks like Schumacher over seas don't carry much for the mi4lp very little to pick from
