The CXL layshaft is now supported both sides with a larger screw cap that screws into the rear mount.

The original Mi4 was that way, too. They didn't change to the single-sided one until the Mi4LP. I think I still have the old Mi4 one from a used car in my parts box, so I'll pull it out and throw it in.

i do believe 1mm..
some drill out to 1.1 mm..

i prefer to use the tamiya pistons.. makes them a little smoother..

Everyone please don't forget when placing pistons on...use a .1 shim to remove all play in piston...this will make a huge difference in how the car handles.

Have you ever used entire TRF shocks? The overall length is very close, but the TRF shocks have less shaft travel. I was gonna give 'em a try next race day just to see how it feels.

Try 36 or 32s, or 28s in the rear...keeping 40 up frnt..(assuming track surface is still arounnd 45c)...see if the tail stays plantd once the tire heats up..if it does...might want to try another brand of tires/inserts...

Running mod in Brisbane in summer, using HPI silver springs all round, track temp 20 to 30degC, 40wt oil, 30 to 40degC, 45wt, 40 to 50degC 50wt oil, if you are running stock drop the oil weights by 5.

I would try 36R sorex / Schumacher yellow inserts, 45wt oil.

Regards
Gary

you can try the two extremes...
change the front oil to 42 1/2 with HPI springs...

or
soften the springs all around and let the car roll way more..lazy it up a little bit.

then play with upper shock position, this will impact the car greatly.

will depend on your driving style.
