I will have a few extra smaller 48 pitch spur gears with me....but no extra pinion.
Just in case.

Okay, so, I am trying to find some aluminum shims for my hinge pins. 3x6 don't fit. It's bugging me because I don't like using the plastic clips - It's just more comforting for me, and easier to me, if I can use aluminum.
Please help me out.

I have also used HB purple shims and Xray black but very pricey for a few shims.
I have been having great results using the plastic quik clips..i sand them with super fine grit to smooth them out...
Sorry I can't get you part numbers...All my stuff is packed up for Reedy.
Remember shims need to have a larger inner diameter than the usual 3mm screw shims

guys, i went to Nor-Cal today, for practice prior to the Reedy next week.
Traction was so off the hook that it felt like we were racing on carpet. the car felt like it was slowing as it went around the corners, (which it was doing). i couldnt get the car to work for a while. what did work was going to stiffer springs. i ended the day with associated red springs up front(22 lbs), and associated brass colored springs, (19 lbs) on the rear. 45 wt oil, 3 hole pistons in the shocks all around.
Any other suggestions for the race next week?
