then the next thing i would try is thicker diff oil in the rear, or use the ball difff,,,,i have 3000 wt kyoshio in mine,,,,that helps to keep the rear end planted just a bit better....
next, if that didnt cure the problem, i would lay the front shocks down to the 2nd hole out from the inside....... what is the position of the diff and front spool?
if they are low in the front, put that in the high position,,,,, its something to look at

can anyone help with a handling problem i cant seem to solve.
I have problems with lift off oversteer and its annoying me as i cant seem to shift it. Setup is Currently.
Mi4 with CX softweave chassis, 3mm top deck, CX front and rear driveshafts, CX Spool, CX spec R gear diff, Tamiya TRF shocks.
2* front camber
1* Rear camber
3* rear toe in
0.5* front toe in
White Schuie springs all round
40wt shock oil all round
2 hole pistons all round
Shocks in middle hole on shock tower front and rear
Droop 4 front 6 rear
Flipped transmission
100wt diff oil
Any ideas, I have played with droop and shock position but it isnt helping.
Thanks

secondly, make sure rear inner hinge pins are not bent
I have cured the problem before by running 5mm droop, front and rear, or by raising front ride height 0.5 mm
hope this helps

The problem of off power oversteer is because of too much weight transferring to the front tyres and lifting the rears.
First would start with rear droop( reducing down travel) as this is allowing the car to raise at the rear putting the weight(weight equals grip) on the front tyres. Normally start with a figure of 5front and 4rear. I wouldn't adjust it any more than 1mm either side of these values as you then will start to effect ride hight travel.
If your still getting the problem try the next grade up in spring stiffness on the fronts. If that doesn't work then try a stiffer anti roll bar on the front.
You say off power oversteer; would you be coming off power mid corner when it happens? If so look at you toe in and change this to neutral( |^| ) or 0.5 toe out( \^/ ) to give you back some bite into the corner and take of some mid corner front grip away. You may need this corner entry bite back if you use harder front springs.
Try leaning rear shocks in a little. Wont give you more grip but will make the rear braking away more predictable.
I would look to putting your camber to equal amounts front and rear while trying to get the balance right also. Use that for refinement later.

Found this on ActionRC:
With the first major international touring car race of the year underway in Italy this weekend (for the second round of the 2011-12 Euro Touring Series) and the major Nuremburg Toy Fair just a couple of weeks away, Schumacher have allowed what appears to be a forthcoming new touring car – the Mi4cxl – out into the open for the first time, and the excellent team at Red RC have captured it to share with the world.

The car corners ok until you take the throttle off then the back spins out.

Sorry forgot to mention tires. We run Schumacher 24/25 Yellow minipins, I run a medium moulded insert. We race on astro carpet. There the only tires that will work.
Its mostly on corner entry that i get it, especially coming off the straight.
Diff and spool are set to low setting at the moment.
Car currently has a medium front roll bar on.
Thanks for all the advice already

Ok, Mine was doing that real bad and I almost gave up on the car, even after trying so much changes it didnt seem to ever fix the issue. It annoyed me real bad!!!!
In the end I fixed it and the things for me that seem to make the biggest changes to fixing the problem were:
2. some newer tyres (sorex32), I had some older sorex 36s on before.
2. going back down to 1000wt rear diff oil (from 3000wt)
3. 2.5mm shims between front bulkhead and arm mounts
4. Going back to Schumacher Blue front and White rear springs
5. removed shims from under the rear upper camber link plate
6. Put front shock back up to middle hole on tower
7. bit more front droop 4mm with block and gauge
This was for a Outdoor low traction Asphalt track in a warm climate

put the the hardest tires you have on the front,,leave what u got on the rear---then try it-----then lets us know if helps-we are curious!
fyi-indoor or outdoor, when my cx tires are too soft, she oversteers off throttle corner entry every time
.....playing with the rear wing can sometimes mask this problem....sometimes..... but the car doesnt feel at its best, just driveable

Mi4CXL on RedRC:
http://www.redrc.net/2012/01/schumac...ompetition-tc/
Biggest change I can see is replacing angled-2pieces 2F with flate-1piece 1F. I thought that actually make car less stiff on pitch-axle
(but maybe cheaper to produce)
