Don't worry, normally you not have to cut. I mean if the driveshaft is too close to the diff screw end you can cut a little bit of the screw.

- Eirik,
Last weekend I have tried running the shocks as you say.
It feels like little less traction, anyway I think when the traction comes up it's not so bad. I will keep on playing with this kind of stuff, thanks for the tips!

Same to you! I have tested the 417 for some time now and I found it faster.
All weight is more to the centerline for quicker response. I really like the one piece motormount, I haven't broke one spur yet even with 4.0T motor.
The motormount makes the car a lot more stable with hot motors as well.

I'm not planning to do much off-road but who knows, maybe in the near future!

Can't really tell you the differents. Just try out yourself and you will feel the difference. I should say the effect of changing the suspension height will do more then rollbar thickness.

- Oscar
I never go above 1000W as this feels the best on the track.
It is pretty thin and you need to refill the diff sometimes.
I quess with even thinner shockoil you need to refill every battery!
Thin oil always feels most stable so it's really not bad!
Two month ago my wife gave birth to a son, Valentino!

- Gerwin,
Thanks!
Maybe I will join the ETS in Apeldoorn, depends on my schedule.
I'm trying to post some set ups but I can't find a proper set-up sheet that you can post within the 480kb limit.

Maybe someone can help me with a set-up sheet for the 417 who I can upload easy in this thread?

Jilles

p.s. For those who are interested, I will attend the Snowbirds race next week!

When using wheel spacers (ie 0.5mm on the hex) what does this do?? going wider than 0.5mm would it give you more or less grip at that end of the car??

Hi Jilles,
Yes, Initial traction will be a little less, but I have found it to give more cornerspeed and it changes direction faster, especially with Sorex tires and good traction tracks.

Good luck at the Birds, bring home some trophies ;o)

Congratulations on taking the TQ and win in Mod TC @ Snowbirds. Looks like you have a firm grip on that 417!
