Default 416X

Jilles,

Any particular setup for the 416X or should we use the WE setup on it?

Thanks.

Hi Jilles

A slightly different question here from the majority of the others! In your videos on RedRC, what's the pit board you are using? Is it just a glass plate or a specific RC one? And what size (roughly) is it?!

Thanks for any info
Oli

Hi ollie, I'm not sure about jilles's glass board but i do know that most of the glass boards u see people using are just a normal glass board (no rc brand) If you want one, asda have them. There the same size as the hudy ones and are plain (ie not flowers or anything on) glass which is fairly thick and super flat. This is ideal and i believe there only 3.

Jills,

I also suggest some of your opinion to mod existing 416 to be comparable with 416WE & X.

Thx.

Senna Racing,
For the TITC I will expect even warmer weather then at this moment.
Track temp of over 60 degree celsius. I will still use 700W oil, only in the evening the track temp go down I will use around 500W.
I think for the stock class at the TITC they will use Ride tyre.

asw7576,
Thank you, you're welcome!

kschu,
Hope to see you at the TITC, will be good race!

jonest,
Set-up for 416X is very similiar to "old" WE or 416.
You need to play little more with weights in the car to balance it for Lipo racing. As the motor is more to the centerline you not need to put the weight to much on the outside of battery but more to the centerline.

To upgrade your "old" 416 to the X you need the rear bulkhead, rear belt and topdeck. You can't use the new front bulkhead on the old chassis.

Oli,
The glass pitboard I use only at home, little fragile to travel with.
It's just a pitboard that I got from a friend from a normal shop, not RC related.

Acid_CZ,
I can't attend the race in Poland in January.

p.s. Someone from Singapore at this thread? This weekend I will spend some time with my Girlfriend in Singapore and maybe someone know some nice places to visit?

Jilles

Dont forget your friends in OZ Jilles, you will have to come out for a trip in 2010, i know of 1 event at least that is interested in bringing racers out. If you interested drop me a line on [email protected]

It looks like the Dawin hotel in Sukhumvit will be ozzie ground zero, on the maps it looks like a pretty quick trip up the freeway to the track. The trip from Ratchada looks like it would be a nightmare.

How did you go at the Futaba Grand Prix? Have they decided on what tires for mod yet?

Brad,

What race is that in OZ?
From the Emerald to the RC Addict tracks takes about the same time as you start from Nana and take the highway. And highway have never traffic jam!
Futuba Cup was cool. I won the mini class and got second in TC. Surikarn won the TC and Hara third. I think they will use MuchMore tyres for Mod at TITC.

Toh WL,
Front bulkhead mount on the chassis is different. The bulkhead is made longer.
This makes the bulkhead more strong.

Jonest,
Not sure, I will be there only one night. I'm not sure where to stay yet so any info is much appreciated.

Jilles,

Did they manage to get the Ride Mini tyres ready for the event? (ones to be used at TITC I believe)

Looks like you are the Mini expert as well. Might need some tips from you for TITC Diff or spool?

Hi Jilles,

Welcome to Singapore!
If u are coming here for shopping, Orchard Road will be where the big malls are, & i'll suggest that u stay in a hotel located along there, like the meritus mandarin hotel.

http://www.meritus-hotels.com/index....med=1228895397

Since u are in singapore, pls do drop by the EP track (racecraft) located at:

Bottle Tree Park (Yishun)
81 Lorong Chencharu
Tel: 62721161

Cheers!
