This crap (not carp, get it in your head) would not start if you kept your crap comment to yourself no go play by the canal and leave this topic alone

Jilles,

what bearings do you use?

How do you maintain or clean those TRF fluorine sealed bearings? Some of my bearings the fluorine seal is interfering the balls causing it not to be smooth.

Thanks.

Default Weather Setup Changes

Im asking for some setup help in relation to the car over the changing conditions of a full day. In the morning we start on a track with temps around 20 degrees celcius and finish the day at about 35-40 degrees celcius. What would you reccommend I do? Thinner oil / tyre change (rubber 28-32-36) etc etc?

Ben

Hi Jilles...busy testing??
Got a question...in your opinion when would you choose to use the 2-piece upper deck and when to use the one-piece deck (WE)...
Are you still using these two upper-decks as one of the setup changes in your recent races?
Thx!!

Kschu,
If you want to built the shock without rebound you can't use a sponge.
I never use a sponge.

Home13oy75,
I never ran the 415 but basic set-up like rollcenter, track width, wheelbase will also work for the 415.

Doriftu,
I don't use oil or clean the TRF ball bearings, I run them out of the box.
Most of the bearings I use for longtime.

Tom,
My set-up of the warm-up race is very simlair to the basic set-up.
I raised the rear rollcenter using 1mm under the arms.
Shock oil 500W front and rear. Front blocks C/C with 0.5 anti-dive
Speak to you upcoming weekend in Luxembourg!

Orzal24,
For pro stock you should use C/C with little anti-dive (0.5mm)
I think a spool is always faster then a one-way, especially a track like Andernach where you really have to brake also with stock.

Drag_On,
I never used the 415. I think when you want to use a one-way, make the car little wider in the front.

Ben,
When you run in cooler condition you should use thinner oil with softer tyres.
When the track temp gets hotter go to thicker oil, same springs or softer amd go to harder tyres.

I think I had this question before.
Most of the time I use the WE topdeck outdoors, sometimes I use indoors the double topdeck with the rear brace. The rear brace makes the car more stiff in the rear for better rotation in the corner, less grip.

IQ0,
Well, with foam racing, especially on carpet you want to use a small tyre.
A smaller tyre will drive better and more easy then a big tyre. Big tyre makes the car roll more and more chance to traction roll. On carpet we cut the tyre down to 57mm.

Goingfast,
For more cornerspeed try a harder spring. Also raise the rollcenter will help.
Mid turn off power, make the rear more stiff, lay in the shock.

Jilles
