I've also heard some weird stuff!

what's the liquid that you could find around your home or be bought in bulk that could be used for good rubber tire sauce?

I have some a lot of tires and old sorex I wanna use but I wanna make then sticky again using something I don't have to order over the net and wait on it. =] lol any tips?

SP-400. When i run asphalt and i have a bunch of nasty-azz tires that are too worn to race with, i hit them with the sp-400 and they are good for a few practice runs.

WD-40 works well as does simple green.

I use quick and bright.
Not for the grip because we have so much grip that we don't need to use some ting.
It is only so we can use 1 set of tires for the race.
As we don't use it, than the tires will not made it to the final head and we lose grip.
We have a new top layer on our asphalt and that gives a lot of grip but the tires wear down very fast than.
It also gives some grip when there is a lot of dust on the tracks.
also when it starts to rain we have a bit more grip with it.

I heard someone say they use WD-40. But simple green seems to be what most people use.

Mostly I just use the things mentioned just to clean the tires. Lacquer thinner seems to work best for me... I will also use brake cleaner/motor spray... WD40 and simple green. Lacquer thinner seems to soften them the best but will make tires like the TA tires balloon up sooner which is why I use simple green most of the time and some of the others when there is a glaze building up or the tires are old.

If you wonder if one is better than another... clean with simple green then try WD40 or one of the others and see how much still comes off the tires.

I still follow the cleaning with a shot of paragon because traction is down most of the time at our track (carpet).

I love pig vomit too but, hate having to stick my finger down the pigs throat to get them to vomit......YUCK!

Sometimes I get lucky and my friends girlfriend does it herself.
