Default Mini tires and inserts

I know I have asked the question in the mini thread but there people seem too busy with something else right now.

I have a collection of tires and inserts (and it seems Tamiya alone has a wider range than I can remember of both on offer) and need to select a combination for carpet and one for asphalt. I would be forever grateful if someone would illuminate me somewhat so I don't have to test and possibly find out the hard way that some combos are better than others. By the way, all the stuff I have is Tamiya.
