Default Which Losi motor???????

Hey everyone, I have been lookin at the Xcelorin brushless motors and esc for my Traxxas Rustler, however it seems that they have 3 different motors and I am not sure what the difference is and was wondering if anyone could explain to me what the 7500,6400,4800 numbers mean for the motors. It might depend on where I am driving and what I am doing with it is top speed runs always on the road. Any information is much appreciated as always.

If those numbers are KV ratings, they indicate the RPMs per volt the motor willl spin with no load. They don't indicat e the actual power output of the motor, just the RPM at which the motor will spin.

The KV numbers are useful to help determine the proper gearing selection for a particular motor.

Your best bet is to call Losi support and discuss what your intended use is and they'll be able to recommend the best choice for your application.
