Ok love the speed 6 body myself . Follow this setup, its for the 2.5mm chassis and this car was very fast. Your very close to this setup so not many changes; but there is one very important one. You need to lose the wide topdeck, thats for carpet racing and is really hurting your flex. Other than this your next best option is to switch to the 2mm chassis. Lmk how this setup works for you.

Try the Mazda 6 ( NOT the speed version )... it has much better balance ( front to rear ).
I've been fighting the same issue with my FK05 and among other things the body was a significant change. ( I have the 2mm chassis and narrow top plate too ).

Thanks Chris, I'll try it out. I did have the narrow top plate on, just thought I would check this one out.

I have placed a droop setup and better ride height gauge on order, seems that was the biggest part of my problems. Had a very fast guy help me out the other day at the track and it helped quite a bit. We will see how it goes.

I just had a diff become really notchy/almost locked the other day during one qualifier, felt great before the just crap after. Any known issues with these diffs? Never really had a problem with any before that I built.

Not that I've ever heard of, sounds like something broke inside perhaps

I seem to remember reading something about their thrust bearings somewhere. Anyway I got it apart and it had ate the thrust bearing housing and had a couple broken thrust bearings. It starting to seem if it isn't one thing it is another.

Bumping this thread back up. Ive just revived my 2 Half dead 05's into a 27t warrior. I found this thread and there are some good tips in here so I was inspired so to speak and I stripped both cars down and built one good one out of the parts. Amazing the amount of slop and bent bits you can find in different spots in different cars. Still couldn't get some of it out and bugger buying NIP parts for it. Damage to the front of one and rear of the other but now its pretty straight. God knows what set up its got as I don't have a set up board and it has the front end of 1 car and the back of another. Good enough for first in stock on the weekend but im 170grams (6 ounces) underweight Gotta turn her into a real lead sled I reckon.
