Wow I am amazed how unbalanced my car is, I don't have enough lead here to balance it. About how much did you use down the battery side of your car? Thanks Phil

With 4200 NiMH batteries, it wanted about 2 ounces as far outboard on the battery side as I could get it, basically on top of the battery bars, which I don't like, so I don't run any weight when using NiMH packs, it's close enough to me to get by.

With a Tekin 3400 LiPo, it wants 6 3/4 ounces on the outer edge of the pack. I ended up having to apply it in 2 layers to get all the weight where it needed to be, and that's currently the only weight I have on the car, not even sure if it meets minimum weight because I haven't been able to check it on the track scale to see how much it might differ from the scales I'm using that desperately need to be replaced.

Its getting there, little more test & tune and I think it should be good. I'm up to 3.5 ounces of weight so far, still not quite balanced. Any recomendations on shock oil weight for technical 60 x 120 parking lot track? Thanks again for all the help.

If you are running a LiPo, you can get a LiPo plate from Hyperdrive that wieghs 3.5 ounces then you could add from there to get it balanced, my 007 uses that plate with another 1/2 ounce on the right rear of the chassis to balance with SMC 5000's.

I still just can't seem to completely get rid of my spinout/oversteer issue when turning tight to the right. Diff settings?? Any other ideas/issues to look at? Thanks

Hmmm... it could be.

What are your diff settings? I typically run a very tight diff up front [but not so tight that you have a spool], and just tight enough in the rear to eliminate slip.

Can you take any pictures of the car, maybe there's something I can spot that you're not thinking to mention, or don't know about?

If the issue is only on tight right hand turns, I'm thinking there's a setup or binding issue. If your weight balance was off too much, you'd traction roll rather than spin out.

What droop settings are you running?

Without physically seeing the car and/or seeing it run, I'm starting to be at a loss.

I'll see if I can't get pics up in the next day or two, I will try to change the diff settings and see if I can't get better results there. Thanks

rockstar81 check your shocks (lengh-rebound-springs) be sure you're using the same shocks hole position left-right ,use harder spings in front and check your droop settings.Have you checked the left-right steering amount on your transmitter?Maybe is to much on right hand turns.

One last thing (or maybe the first) is to check your bearings.

Have pretty much checked everything you mentioned at least twice, snow/ rain here today, maybe nicer tomorrow so I can check diff setting/experiment with them.

Not really, sorry I haven't got pics up yet. I have been busy building my cars (including a new XRAY Fk05) racing for me starts this weekend. I will try to get some pics up tonight after work. I figured I would build the new kit per manual and start to change setup from there.

try lowering the rear roll center ( lower the position of the LOWER inner pivot pin ), and add some rear toe-in.
