have been putting a bd together over the last couple months.finally got a motor into it today and got it spinning.noticed that it drives hard from the rear.i read that a spool or ball diff is a better option.how do these work? previous rc was a tt01 and i locked both diffs and it drove nicely from the front and rear. would doing the same in a belt driven chassis have the same effect? how does a ball diff work? does anyone have links to good settings sheets for a bd on a low grip ashphalt circut with rubber tires

Spools work the same way a locked diff does. Both wheels rotate at the same speed.

A diffs purpose to to apply even power to both wheels while allowing the outside wheel to rotate faster than the inside wheel. One-ways and spools in the front allow for better acceleration coming out of the corner.

Running both front and rear locked diffs? Why? Are you drifting??

i have a one way in the front of my bd and find that it drives to much from the rear and spins out easily.i had a locked diff in my old tt01.i locked the front diff and found it improved the driving of the chassis.the tt was a great drifter.am building the bd more as a circut racer than a drifter.
