Default suspension tuning

iam a bit confused.i understand that

softer suspension will increase grip but need it stiff enough to stop grip roll.
roll bars reduce grip by making it stiffer.
but if you go to soft stiffer springs will increase tractuion.
and vice versa.
but what about top canber links.
is a longer top link better for increase in roll and shorter gives less roll?
also a higher top link will increase roll and a lower top link will decrease roll.
cheers.

Here you can read a lot about suspension tuning.

But before confusing things too much, I strongly recommend, you take your car as far as possible, with the basic stuff.

That is:

1) Set all to stock position. Including a pretty neutral body.
2) Then get the right tire/insert combo. Ask the fast guys at the track.
3) Find the proper spring/shock oil combo.

About 3): Keep front rear pretty close, that is, only 1-3 spring rates between front/rear. You might want to start out with a thin oil. This way you know what the springs do without the potential confusing from eventual improper shock oil. Now work with the springs. When the best results is found, experiment with shock oil.

And do only one thing at the time.

You might be quite surprised how well the car can handle by doing it like this. Maybe you dont even consider camber links and sway bars afterwards.... Believe me, I've tried it...
