The setup I ran is the same as the normal setup I run except I had 60 fr 50 rear losi shock oil.

Full long camber links all the way around. Stock camber plates.

2mm shim under the front inner camber link.

no anti squat in the rear. Medium Low roll center blocks all the way around.

Everything else is the same

Default New guy needs some help

I just purchased my first Photon car. I need some assistance with a setup for this car for carpet and asphalt. Also looking for a gear setup for a Tekin 17.5 motor in blinky mode. What body works best? Do I need to upgrade anything on this car?

Thanks

Mike

Congrats on the car Mike. Hanulec has done a great job keeping track of all the info required for this car. Take a look here and you should answer alot of your questions. Depending on track size, you should start around 4.0 fdr for blinky. The Photon internal ratio is 2.0 so your math skills won't get tested too much. I like the P-37 body or the LTC-R. Good luck. If you need any help, this is the place to go.

Ok I read this webpage and of course I dont really understand half of the info. The car i bought came with nimh chassis and a brand new lipo chassis. Also came with a spec-r gear diff and a stock gear diff and low friction belts. The person I bought it from said it has Jesse Starks mod setup from the Reedy race. I can't seem to find that setup.

Give it a run with the setup that it has on it and see what it needs and go from there.

I find the pro setups dont always work for everyone. well not for me

Interested in trying one but I was told that these cars are a bit fragile. Are they? Or are they as durable as any other top line TC except you just can't hit the boards with it constantly?

I'm curious which tc will be ok if you hit the boards constantly?

The Photon is as durable as any of the other cars available, each one has it's weak and strong points

I progressed from a TC3 to a TC5 to a TC6 to the Photon. I'd say that the Photon is hands down the toughest of the 4 cars that I've owned in the past year. Easiest to work on, too.
