Just got top car last week and raced it yesterday. I need set up for 17.5 carpet. Track size is about 80x30 using tekin and dou2 with sorex 32. The car has stock setup it seems to start out good but after 3mins the back end spins out

Hi nitroguy,

Is your car the rubber edition? What traction additive are you using? If you have a good groove going at your track, I've noticed that Sorex will pick it up pretty quick on the tires and cause the car to get loose mid run. Especially if your running a tight layout. Look at the rear tires after it starts getting loose and see if they are caked up.

If you do have the rubber edition, the stock front springs are a little soft for higher bite carpet in my opinion. If you go up on your front springs, it should help keep the front end from hooking as hard and may be the fix for your car getting loose later in your run.

And get Solaris tires That might just be the best fix of all

What pound springs do you have on your car? They may be too stiff depending on which came with your kit. You should try out the Solaris tires. I'm using them against other drivers locally that use Sorex, RP, Jaco etc and have been very successful with them. TQ and won most of the races I've been in. And for the cost and performance they can't be beat.

Default Killer Set-Up for harsh conditions

The track in Memphis this past weekend was totally green. It was cold. It was drizzly. But my car was the business. Trampled the TQ by nearly a lap.

Here's the set-up. (This was with the 2.5 Lipo Chassis)

Ill have a ton going on that morning so practice will start at Noon. If there is a real large crowd I will leave practice open until 10pm. We have lights. Not great lighting but decent.

12 sounds good, lets me sleep in from the drive That's cool that your track has lights. If it gets too dark, I have flashlights

Do you use medium or hard tires?
I ordered Medium Solaris because I used before the Sorex 32. They worked good on the car so now I'm going to use the Solaris to see what they do. They are cheaper.

When come the new black rims for the tires EJ?
