Just thinking out loud here. If you use the extra hard wings, there are several different tuning options. You can use all three standoffs (2 outside and 1 center), you can use just the outside standoffs, just the center standoff or none of them. 4 different options. Now I wonder how each would react or compare to the medium or hard wings.

The regular rubber chassis will work fine for low to medium bite carpet, but if you will be running on the med-high or very high traction tracks you should absolutely pick up the 2.5mm "Foam" chassis.

The wings used are apparently debatable, so pick up some options.

Default Set-Up Sheet

Here is what I have come up with for high bite carpet. I ran this at Trackside last week with good results. The layout was nice and flowing and the traction was very good.

Only two guys have managed 27 lap runs (5 minutes) on the layout and this set-up brought me to a 26 5:01.26 Im 100% confident that I have a 27 lap set-up in steadier hands.

There is an error on the sheet that I will fix and re-post ASAP. For the suspension mount spacers in the front it should read FF=2.3mm / FR=1.4mm

Default 6 degree steering blocks

Are there any plans for the six(6) degrees steering blocks?

just incase anybody is wondering, the foam 2.5 chassis doesn't really work on our tracks in the uk. The traction on the tracks we have (even maritime or rug racers) just isn't enough tbh

I've been experimenting with the wings, and so far, just added the front and rear medium wings, it's a good balance.

I could see that for sure.

I think its important to be clear about when to use a different chassis.

If you are running asphalt or low to medium traction carpet, the standard rubber chassis is the way to go as it is perfect.

If you will mainly be running on high bit or very high bite carpet the newer 2.5 "foam" chassis is going to be the way to go.

I may be mistaken but I believe the answer has been given in the form of "no".

I think you will find that there is more than enough "room" for adjustment to get anything you want out of the car without the #6 blocks.

Why are you running 1mm of inboard toe-in in the front?
Also why only 1* of rear toe on rubber tires?

There is an error on the sheet that I will fix and re-post ASAP. For the suspension mount spacers in the front it should read FF=2.3mm / FR=1.4mm This gives some front arm sweep.

The limited (im not certain that those shims actually come out to 1*) rear toe should be used only if the grip is real good. You have to keep in mind that the Photons make huge amounts of traction. This being the case you can try things with this car that you may not get away with in other cars. No two car designs are the same much like no one persons set-up will suite all driving styles. I suggest that you put this exact set-up on your car (assuming your track has a good groove) and the tweak it a little at a time to best fit you.

I changed the rear toe to that amount just before qualifying. Earlier in the day when there was less compund layed down I had an additional .5mm shim at RR.

Hey Bro,

Just wanna confirm that the new thinner 2.5mm chassis is better for high bite carpet. I thot that with a thinner chassis it would means more flex thus more grip so tracks with low traction might work.

Pardon me if i am wrong. Still newbie.

Thanks

What adjustments are you talking about? If it is kick up,that is for off road cars.I don't see why Top can't make a six(6) degrees front c hub.Every other manufacturer makes them.
