I'm surprised no-one's suggested abandoning the EX-specific thread, and just continuing with this one.

+1.

Since I will be one of the guys who will wait and see what problems the EX has and can still get info about the Photon on the same tread. Maybe we can get a moderatetor to change this tread to "T.O.P. Racing Photon & EX".

I see you're in England but TOP racing Australia has the EX on pre-order for $330. I don't know how they can do it for that price but I'm not complaining! Should have mine by the end of the first week of April I've been told.

I don't think the 'EX' thread will continue much more, but it's good to have it there as a showcase/announcement for the new version, I'd suspect still being a 'Photon' most discussion will still happen in here.

They have been saying late March delivery on the EX, but parts could be a little ways behind, could be interesting to see if they can pick sales back up again, on the original model it always seemed out of stock, cause the price and feature points had it sell quickly, but since some new models came out with more aggressive pricing, it's not been as hot a property in recent times.

TOP's pricing has 'always' been great on the kits, and from what I have seen they have always passed that on to 'all' of their distributors, I suspect unlike some brands they sell at relatively simular cots to all markets.
And Rods pricing in Australia has alway been good, I did not actually buy my original kit from Australia, can't remember why, but now for sure if your in Australia you will likely get the best deal from him.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the new kit builds up, hoping they addressed some of the smaller original build glitches.

Default 13.5 setup

Does someone have a good setup sheet for narrow Exotek chassis with Sorex 36R tires in 13.5 Boosted on an outdoor asphalt track ?

The EX looks great. I'll continue to work on my driving with the Photon and when I've put enough mileage through the chassis, I'll upgrade to the EX.

I've driven my Photon on a semi prepped bumpy track the other week and even with the near stock setup, it still handled just as great as it did on a smooth prepped track. Love this car!

Places to try-
- topusa
- timezone hobby - WA
- trains and lanes - PA
- debbies rc world - VA

Also - if your looking for another option, the XRay steering blocks work (if you use XRay C-hubs, otherwise it might be too tight of a fit in the TOP C-hubs). On the Photon all I run are XRay C-hub and steering blocks.
