Nice, looks like they got the Reedy logo on the box. Is that a decal or did TOP have it printed on the box?

my kit didnt come with wheels, but these days its all pre mounts so shouldnt be too much of an issue....

also i imagine that the Reedy bit is a sticker/decal as my box sleve was plain, i cant imagine TOP getting them all reprinted lol

Was there an issue with the spool cups? Will the kits/spares that were shipped to distributors come with the new ones?

I think that's printed on the box. It's fuzzy but I think it reads "2009 Reedy TQ & Champion"...or something like that.

not that i've heard of or experianced,

i will be having a look at the design of it after the weekend is over as i wouldnt mind changing it ever so slightly.

it is our first race at the UK nationals this weekend at the large halifax track (very large infact, 56m straight, 16/17 second laps in mod!)

i think there will be either 3 or 4 Photons running.
3 for sure.
Myself and Stew Noble in Mod
and Jordan Howe in Pro Stock.

will keep you updated throughout the weekend with the progress, and will post our final settings after the weekend.

In my testing the spool cups were fine but with a bit more crashing in testing from other drivers they said that they don't break but just wear a little faster than they would like so they are making them out of harder plastic. No major change, just a material change to further improve the durability of the spool I believe.

Like Josh said with some crashing the cups would not break, but wear a little faster then we would like to see. The first batch of kits will have one extra spool and one extra set of cups.

The version 2 cups made of a material with harder plastic will be available within a few days of the kits shipping. TOP will provide all customers/hobby shops with version 2 replacement drive cups free of charge.

We would have liked to include the version 2 drive cups with the first batch of kits, but don't want to delay the release more then it already has. They will come standard with the next batch.

You guys should have been there. I thought he was gonna start bawling

If I crashed a car as many times in a heat as he did in that test run, it would been one of my best runs

This is why I'm leaving behind a car used to win the worlds for something almost completely unknown. You guys are doing everything right.
