Remember this is with the 2.25 lipo chassis stiff. If you are running the standard 2.5 Rubber Chassis then use the medium high roll centers.
What if your chassis is 2.5 What roll center spacers do you use then....LOL

Ok, I just got the new aluminum lipo mounts. But I am little confused. I was told that they would fit on the standard chassis, but I am not seeing how this would work without me drilling some new holes in the chassis.

Also, why are they not a solid piece. There are 10 pieces to put together that could have been accomplished in 2 maybe 3.

Last question is if I do manage to get these bolted on to the chassis. How am I suppose to remove the batter once I get them on?

thanks.

The new chassis has a larger cutout under the diff pulleys to allow you to flip the belts. I just finished building mine and it looks awesome. These new shocks are amazing as well. Can't wait to get this thing on the track.

You can try my setup I posted a couple pages back. Use the "M" roll centers in the low position.

Ok guys I've decided... and the winner is Photon! What are some of the things to look out for, or should I grab when I get my kit? The new shocks are on my list, but not gunna be here for a few weeks.

Can someone tell me what the difference is between the original drive shafts and the ver.2 or ver.3??? which ones come with the kit? Do they/should they be upgraded?

IF you are getting a new kit it should come with the V2 shocks.

Not really sure how "old" the kit would be, I'd have to ask the distributer here for that answer I guess...

Any input as to the driveshafts???

If you are getting the newer kit it should have the lipo chassis. The one I got was the version before the shocks where changed. I haven't really had any issue with them so I have not changed them. The kit comes with 1 extra of every supension part. But from experience the thing you break the most is the steering bellcrank. So get the aluminum one. After 4 broken with and without a saver. I would also get the aluminum rear hubs. Not sure why but any spin out into the boards and the top of the plastic ones just breaks off. I thought I had gotten a bad one the first time it happened. But the other three in the kit all eventually broke with very little impact. The newer kits come with steal out drives for the spool, if you get the foam kit, pick up a spool for rubber tires. I also recommend the ceramic diff balls. Smooth.
For weight I would get the center one piece made by top and a couple of the round weights for front and rear. And they make weights that fit in the battery brace. I just used lead there.

Oh and the kit does not come with grease so if you don't have any I just used the muddslide stuff.

One last thing, pick up a spring kit and a some extra shims the kit doesn't have very many extra's.

Hope this helps

macdude> If you're having a problem breaking rear hubs, try putting a small set screw into the empty hole. It helps support the ball stud and makes them stronger.

The chassis is changed and allows the diffs to be flipped for better weight balance. The shocks were replaced as well. Both are very nice.
