Tech Racing Japan Products coming to US

Hi Guys,

Just a quick announcement: In a couple of weeks, we will be bringing in another famous brand from Japan: Tech Racing!

We will be bringing in their line of hop-ups for touring cars, their MY02R Touring Sedan, and the Slit Road Magic 1/12th pan car.

I will keep you guys posted! :)

also, please let the MY02 thread drop and consolidate all Tech Racing related posting on this thread :) Thanks guys!

JDM_DOHC_SiR 11-24-2003 12:11 AM

You have another winning car coming to your shop ...this is the belt car to have right now:nod:

cHckbOY5 11-24-2003 12:25 AM

yea didnt the MY02 win a big japanese race this yr?

Aku-Man 11-24-2003 12:33 AM

Just wondering, how MY02 and TRF415 going to compete? They basically are the same. Look like Tech Racing is helping designing 415. Is that just stabbing their own back?

disaster999 11-24-2003 01:14 AM

haha..more interested in the 12th scale!

Hi-LowBrow 11-24-2003 01:26 AM

hahaha,,,
TRF415 is developed by Tech Racing though, besids TB-EVO3 is also developed by TechRacing. they are like OEM.
MY-02 is not same as TRF415. TRF415 is going to be new version of MY-02.
if you considering about buying MY-02, you should buy MY-02R, it is top notch !!

cHckbOY5 11-24-2003 01:28 AM

but then if u buy my02r shouldnt we consider trf415?

Hi-LowBrow 11-24-2003 02:01 AM

no,you should !! :p
but you know what, 415 is not available yet. that's the point !

cHckbOY5 11-24-2003 02:06 AM

and the my02 is proven to be one heck of a car

Aku-Man 11-24-2003 07:58 AM

Steve, do you have pic for the R?

JimmyMac 11-24-2003 04:21 PM

I have pics of one. But I'll have to scan them in later on. Looks pretty nice.

Randy Caster 11-24-2003 04:41 PM

These are pics from the Tech Racing website, they are just the MY-02, not sure what the updates are on the R edition though.

The MY02R is listed at around JPY45,000+, it's quite expensive but it already has the new 3-D cut chassis which is narrower than stock and everything seems to be more centered. Tech racing is selling that chassis for JPY11,000. I am sure SpeedtechRC prices will be very competitive. Keep us posted Steve:)

Think i'll stick with the xray for now... looks like a great kit though!

SpeedTech 11-26-2003 08:34 AM

Hi Guys,

The pictures you guys see on here is not the "R" spec. it is the MY02, but the "R" includes so much more hop-ups and what they call 3D cut graphite.

and although the retail price calls for 45,000 yen ($420), I believe the target price we're shooting for is right around $365.

:D

forty6 11-26-2003 11:55 AM

Steve,
Will the MY02Rs that you will be getting come with this?

http://club.pep.ne.jp/~minakuchi/pho...to/my02_15.JPG

SpeedTech 11-26-2003 02:19 PM

forty6,

That would be the one. And the upper deck is using that style too. The 3D cutting allows for a thicker chassis to be used while the cutting lowers the CG on the heavier components (example: motor mount, bulkhead...etc.)

Tres,

Yes, the light weight one-way would be a part of our product line as well. And also available to the TC3 guys.

Wow, that's a beautiful chassis, hopefully I'll be able to do stuff like that with my mill coming in a week or so :D

I wonder if that xxx-s oneway will hold up better than the Losi one. I could use a oneway that will hold up for my XXX-4. :sneaky:

You can order it from SpeedtechRC.com when it's avalible, Steve ships internationally.

shortyzz 11-27-2003 08:25 PM

When will the MY02R become available

Randy Caster 11-27-2003 08:46 PM

Couple weeks from what Steve said at the top of the thread..

Adam Hartzell 11-27-2003 08:56 PM

I've got 2 MY02 in the basement because you have to run a one-way or a spool in the front. Tech dosen't make a diff that fits. Trust me I have been running the car for 2 years now and have been in contact with Tech many times. I run on carpet w/foam tires and you have to have a diff.
