it's looks very "tech" and ive had Tech Racing TC's previously. It lacks in a few areas, but its a very nice kit none the less.

Where would you say that the MY02 kit lacks?

Can any of its shortcomings be fixed with aftermarket parts?

shortcomings:

- instructions are for the std model not the "r", there are some big differences.
- no cell retaining method other than tape.
- droop holes have to be drilled into the arms during construction
- no supplied link/turnbuckle for servo to steering linkage (optional extra lol, mentioned in manual)

good points

- ultra stiff chassis setup
- some common / compatible tamiya componets
- quality of parts is A+
- the shocks are extremely smooth, on par if not better than TRF shocks

If I'm not mistaken the MY02R came out quite awhile ago - is there any chance they will be releasing a new car themselves (besides doing tamiya development)?

Anyone hear anything?

Haven't heard anything from some friends in Japan. I guess they won't have anything because they seem to have a very solid platform in which they also imparted to the Tamiya 415 But it would be really cool to have a new one from Tech

Default Alloy parts

Hi, anyone knows who makes aftermarket alloy stuff for the MY02. I need them for my knuckles and hubs. Thanks I checked out SQUARE but they don't seem to have anything for the MY02. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Default Parts compatability with tamiya

HI, does anyone know if Tamiya CVD and axles are compatible with Tech MY02. I've been having a hard time getting intouch with Tech Racing to order my parts and Hong Kong doesn't have much parts for it. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Merry Christmas!

Yes Tamiya 39mm shafts are compatible.

Rainbowten.co.jp can get all the Tech Racing Parts you could ever need.

Chris, just wait for the TRF 415, same basic car, plus its legal for use in GT1.
