What are you using to power it? I pulled the one out of my pc to test it out but it was only rated for 2 amps so it wouldnt get below 65f.

the thing i did now is using water cooling. glued the hot side to the cpu and submerged that into water. now water freeze instantly when it hits the cold side!
but its expensive to have a water cooling for it! i bought it just to play around with.

A lot depends on the "Peltier" chip itself. There are many different grades of these chip. There are low consuption chips, high performance chips. and all grades inbetween. You get what you pay for.
I have had a lot of requests to make my "SuperCooler" for cars such as the Xray, Tamiya 414, where the motor is buried between the bulkheads. Here is a pic of one I made for a racer with a Xray. Instead of clamping onto the motor from the top, I flipped the "SuperCooler" upsidedown and the motor "sits" in a "saddle". Even with the reduced surface interface between "saddle" and motor, I was able to get motor temp down to the low 20 degrees F.

Hey John, I'm gonna stay local this Sunday (Poway).
I personaly have only used the "SuperCooler" on stock and 19t with great results. I've built and shipped just over 120 units in the past 2 months. The 1st unit was built for our race buddy's "Chuck" and the most recent (for the Xray) was for "John" @ hobbytown.
Right now I'm waiting on parts for my next batch. I'll hook ya up, if your interested.

Pretty sweet..........$60 a piece times 120....$7200....cost about 25 each to make, pretty good profit margin if you ask me!
I need to finish mine up. My design is similar to yours, except I welded mine together with siflos. I still like my out of the car unit, gets the can evenly cold....plus I can monitor it better.

The heat generated by the extreme overclocked CPU's compensate for the cold generated by the peltier device. At 40 degrees and higher there will be no frost. Usually all of the air movement and due to extra fans and the large heat sinks on these system evaporate any condensation as well.

This is a pretty cool idea though. There are a bunch of oval guys I race with who put their motors in the beer cooler between runs. This should be more efficient (but you loose the excuse to take the beer cooler, er, wait,,,, what am I saying?!?!?)

Yup, I bought one off him and it works GOOD! I have it cooling the motor from underneath and there's a clip on heatsink on top. Heatsink gets super cold too. First day I used it I went a whole lap faster than my usual.
