There are a lot of factors but I would guess maybe 45mph.

Tim Smith got 121MPH in a Grand Motorsports Dragster with that set-up. 65/90 gearing.

I know there are factors to consider, im saying with the best on-road roller and the right gearing what would be the tops speed with a 2S 6500mah 30c Li-po and that set-up?

on a track or drag strip? do you want to run a 5 min race or a 20 second quick run? you can gear a lot higher if you are just looking for top speed but will run it for just a short time.

On a track or open parking lot, looking for about 15-min runtime with gear ratio.

15 Min run time with a 3.5 is asking a LOT, especially if you are looking for top speed. I would be concerned with thermaling the speedo.

Well I know the 3.5 uses double the amps then the 6.5, but I do get a 35min runtime with my GTB/velociti 6.5R set up in my XVL with the 6500mah 30c 2S Li-po. So im guessing it should run for about 10min minimum.

If you want to run for 15min then probably 30-40mph is the top speed you are looking at. Definately keep an eye on the temps of your motor and ESC and make sure you don't over-drain you lipo pack.

when you take away from the runtime to make the car go faster what are you changing or using on the car?

pinion gear. bigger of course makes it go faster but it results in higher temperatures of both your motor and esc and uses more power from your battery. I think the temps are more the limiting factor though.

to get longer runtimes you need to keep the motor and esc temp below 160 degrees for the duration of your battery (or the desired runtime). So you would need to find a small enough pinion to not tax the temps and increase the runtime.

So what if I just focused on top-speed and gearing for just speed runs, no longer then 2-5min checking temps. What speeds am I looking at?

not all that much more. you might be able to get another 10-15 mph out of it. some of it depends the distance you have to get it up to speed.

if you dont mind me asking, if this is just in an open parking lot what does it matter? If you aren't racing more speed just means more costs in broken and worn out parts.
