For scale accuracy, HPI is the way to go. I have the HPI NSX and the HPI Corvette coming (oh and a WGT car coming too) as I wanted an identifiable sports car. The Protoforms look ok and are probably much more effective. The Parma? Hmm, well no need to discuss looks there... but then I've just said what half the people in this thread have been complaining about.

It's funny how popular the Mulsanne is - it was never meant to be apart of the WGT scene (not even loosely) because of the performance difference.

I don't know if there's a solution to the one-body class that seems to happen but SCAR at londonrc don't seem to have that problem! amazing variety of 2-door bodies!

Im glad to see you guys having success Foxy...pretty much around here (as with any onroad class) once somebody finds a body that works everybody runs it and if you arent youre "behind the times" Id like to seer the kind of variety that they have in teh actual Speed GT adn FIA GT1 Championship in WGT

This is why I wrote our club rules to say:
"Road Vehicle based 2/3 door Rear Wheel Driven shells only"

The Mulsanne is NOT road based, it is track based built to be road legal.
The Porsche 911 is rear engined with the motor hanging over the rear axle.
The Porsche (Mulsanne) 911 GT1 had the motor moved forward in front of the rear axle, so is not a road based Porsche 911 configuration.
Same applies to the Mercedes CLK GTI, motor moved from front to middle.

It's a great class. Everything should be done to keep 10th pan alive.

Here's something to get your minds stirring:

If you could list your top 3 current race cars that currently do not have an RC counterpart you would email to Protoform or McAllister or HPI about attempting to put into production which would they be? (you dont have to explain why but youre welcome to)

For me itd be:

1) Lister Storm (multiple time British GT champion driven by Jamie Campbell-Walter in the early 2000s)
2) Volkswagen Scirocco (Belgian Touring Car Series)
3) Honda HSV-R (Japan Super GT Championship)

Just checked the Protoform website and it looks like Pro-Line discontinued the Corvette body. No longer on their site.

Carson do a Scirocco now (but its based on the Nurburing 24hr version), and Tamiy are doing a HSV-010

I liked the vette body on my WGT. Good thing that it's so durable and I can get another season out of it. However, I do have a DB-9 sitting in the wings almost ready to go.
