We've just started getting a few GT10s at our Club (the TC boys are veeerrryyy interested!! ) and there are all sorts of body styles. It's indoors, carpet, with additive, and mostly people run the Jaco/BSR/etc control tyres.

The interesting thing is, we haven't found a body shell that really doesn't work! We've got all sorts - Corvettes, Nissans, GT3s - and they all work pretty much fine. So, can someone remind me again why we need these pug-ugly shells that look like nothing ever seen on a race track?

It's to be hoped that ROAR, BRCA, EFRA, etc. eventually remove them all from their lists.

(PS - the Protoform Corvette C6 seems to be liked, and almost any shell from HPI seems to work too.)

Does anyone know where you can get the Kyosho Aston Martin DBR9 shell?
It is the only one made that looks like the proper car.

Default World GT Houston

We are blessed with a very large track at Mike's with a straight over 200 feet. So, we run 10.5s with 2 cell Lipo. Speeds in excess of 40mph. We changed the rules some because aero is required and 13.5 would take forever to get down the straight. Use larger wings and my viper has little winglets on the front to balance. We do adhere and prefer realistic bodies and they work fine. See attached photos.

As we are so quiet I'll just post an update.

My HPI Honda shell has seen better days, so decided to look in to a new one, and knowing of the 3 day event coming up end of August I thought it best to look in to one of the listed leagal shell, so went for the PF Corvette.

Placing this shell on the car made it look very tail happy, so even though it was painted up 3 weeks ago in never got a run until yesterday.
First impressions was of like driving a boot, felt very odd, but as to the thoughts of it going to fishtail a lot, well I was very surprised, cos in fact it had more rear end grip than my Honda and less front bite, so turned out to be a very consistent shell to drive even though it did push a little more than I liked, but I think going back from Magneta to Pink fronts will get that back.
The rear however would not break away, even when applying a small amount of brake for the tight corners.
Great shell.

Also I have just gone from 2s LiPo 17.5 to 2s LiPo 13.5 and found it much better for the car (GenX10) and has better speed yet even after 10 minutes of solid fast driving the rear still held solid under power and brakes.

Would still love to have a Ginetta G50 shell
