I race this class, and I love it.
Let's not mess with it too much please.

for bodies, I say it's simple. Give us a list of a dozen or so bodies to pick from, pick whatever one you want to run, then off you go racing.
Easy.

As long as we can get rid of a roadblock to this class doing well Im for realism over downforce. I just want to know what to get and then get out and race!

I agree with more realistic looking over downforce. It doesn't have to be a perfect replica but at least recognizeable. I'll run my doorstop in 1/12. Probably the only way I'll get to say I drove a 68 camaro (vta) and a c6 corvette (wgt).

The change in the rules is concerning the trim line at the rear of the body (bumper)...the rest of the rules were there from ROAR already. I'm not seeing how this addendum will stop what your calling doorstops...

Well it is not only me calling it a doorstop or wedge or pizza slice. When there is more than a small group of people calling a body a doorstop and said descriptions, they are anything but scaled realism or even cars.

Well regardless, my track is sticking with realistic bodies only for WGT. Front engine rear wheel drive. I used my Sophia GT as a throw-away practice body. It is harder to control, poor downforce in the front for added traction for steering, and absolutely gives a good work out to my reflexes and coordination. I love it as a practice body.

Do we want to talk about non-realistic looking bodies in racing?

It's as easy to find as NASCAR !
yet that doesn't seem to bother anyone too much.

These World GT bodies look like cars. It really doesn't matter a whole heck of a lot what exact model of car they are supposed to be a replica of.

Like I said, stop messing with the class, governing bodies supply a list of a dozen or so to pick from, pick whatever one you want to run and let's just get on with it.
Please.

Please.

If you put it like that then it's time to break out the TOJ bodies.

I highly doubt they would make any list, but my point is I just don't care that much about WHAT body is on the chassis, just give us a few to choose from and let's go racing !

Thank you. There is a list, but some guys don't like it.
By all means, if some racers want to run pan cars with "realistic" bodies then they should do so. It just won't be World GT

Just thought I'd mention this:
The latest version of the Mustang and possibly Camaro are running in BRITCAR GT4 (full sized racing), so by my reconing they should be eligible for WGT (our sized racing)?

That sounds a tad on the conceited side od. I think that if somebody wants to run a Camaro body in World GT for the realism (and if it works for them then hey it works for them) then Id say hey put it on and run it. If somebody wants to run a Corvette C6 (side note: the Corvette has been the only car running in ALMS GT1 for about the last couple seasons and they are going to switch to GT2 later in the year). Its not like if somebody doesnt run the Parma DB-9 or the Sophia that they shouldnt run in this class. I think what everybody is saying that is on the realism side of this is that people ought to be able to see somebody running and have an idea of what kind of car it is. Not everybody knows an Aston Martin DB-9 (unless they have been a fan of full size car racing in the last couple years) and Im really sure not many people know what an Alfa Romeo 8C is, but they know Corvette and Camaro, and Mustang and Saleen.

Me personally I want to run a Corvette C6 painted up like one of the FIA GT Corvettes, does that mean I shouldnt run it in WGT?
