Default Boiled Tyres

Anyone have any experience of re-using rubber tyres they have boiled off rims? Are they any good, or bin fodder? If it helps, I'm talking about Schumacher Yellow Minipins.

Also, what about moulded inserts? Any good, or useless? Thanks.

Personally I've never been successful in boiling off tires without damage to the areas where they attach to the rims. I have reused the inserts.

Rather than boiling them off have you tried using the Trackside Solution stuff that is supposed to dissolve the superglue, I've never used it but I know it exists in the UK.

I've boiled off tires before and they were fine. I had very little trouble getting them off the rims once they had boiled for a few hours(the problem is getting the CA off the tires, not getting the tires off the rims). They were still in good condition. Try it and find out, if they suck then get some new tires.

The inserts should be fine unless they have broken down due to overheating.
