Hi guys. Greetings from Malta.

This tread gets more exciting every day.

it's almost as exciting as Ferrari's recent crash testing programme.

Who's it going to be on Sunday then?

regards

Joe from sunny Malta.

Alright guys, here is the lowdown from the Snowbirds on the unofficial day one:

- Josh Cyrul, big story of the year? Nope! He's back running Trinity stuff, cars, motors and everything. No word on why or what the heck happened.

- Notable driver sightings: Spashett is there, Teemu is there, Joel Johnson is there, Tosolini was not listed but supposedly will show tomorrow with Troy and the Fantom crew.

- No practice yet, the track is closed. Open practice starts tomorrow at 6 AM, then controlled practice after 7:30.

- Club race tomorrow, on-road, limited to 125 entrants and 1-class-per-entrant enforced. Should be interesting.

- Oval club race the following day, same deal.

That's about it so far. A few people have had cars out on the track but for the most part it has been closed. The factory guys are setting up shop, mounting tires and generally shooting the bull.

Big thanks to Kraig of KT Hobbies & Team 1 Racing for keeping me up to date. I will have sketchy qualifying results posted here as the rounds end, with more complete results as soon as I can get them from the Snowbirds crew.

Also, pictures coming soon, we hope. Stay tuned!

I think I saw a TC3 in Cyrul's pit-

Everyone is here- all the guys listed above and more- Matt Francis, Paul L, Billy Easton, Daryl Silva, no Kinwald or Baker or Tosolini yet.

The track is saaaweeeet!! It looks like the race broadcast on the Family Walkie Talkies is goons be a great idea.

All of the mafufacturers are here also. Haven't seen Ernie, but Mike Reedy is here. Although, I haven't seen any Novak people either.

We'll try to keep the updates coming.

Thanks for the updates BigDog!

If you have any trouble with the FTP for the pictures, let me know. I was watching the FTP daemon and it looks like you need to either enable/disable passive mode on your client to get it to work. Hopefully that will solve the problem.

(If nobody else knows what I'm talking about, don't worry... )

More updates soon!

Correct, Baker is not signed up to race. I confirmed this with him. Associated was sending so many people, he decided to stay back and work on R&D on the Nitro car and do other stuff.

Just talked to Kraig again from the Snowbirds track. Indeed, AE's team is pretty much all there save for Pavidis and Baker -- they are getting ready for the carpet nationals, supposedly.

Club race is tonight, hasn't started yet. Not sure how many (if any) big names will be running it, but we will hopefully have results as soon as it ends -- should be around 1 or 2 AM EST, I think.

Nothing much else to report. Should have some photos up soon.
