I just found the following on another board:

>>>***MORE NEWS!***

Famed 1/12th Indoor and TC Champion, Josh Cyrul had a falling out with Ernie Provetti (CEO of Trinity) and is no longer running for the big T. I asked Mike Reedy if he was going to pick him up and Mike said, "He will receive the same tech support as anyone else running our car but nothing beyond that".

Personally, Trinity having trouble with someone who excells in their field doesn't surprise me. IMO, Josh is a good kid but with anyone who has reached the level he has at such a young age, is bound to have a little ego problem and that's something you can't show to the Trinity hieracry. The two ego's will clash. I know of that all too well. Ernie got spoiled with Joel Johnson, an exceptional driver and human being.

So there you have it.

Well now Ernie has Joel back in the line-up so he can still have a very very good racer driving for him, and lets not forget David Spaghetti that is also on the team. I am now wondering if Josh had to build 4 new cars now that he is no longer running Trinity stuff. RC12L3, RC10L3Ox2 one for 4-cell one for 6-cell, and also a RC12L3O. Shit that is alot of building to do right before a very very big race. I guess we will have to see.

I was just reading Big Jim's thread over there earlier today, actually... totally missed that part at the end. Man, we need to get some of those Hobbytalk people over here. The more the merrier.

Cyrul will be well taken care of by AE/Reedy. I know Joel is racing as well, but I bet Cyrul still either wins or TQs or both in 12th scale. The guy is just too good to lose -- except maybe to a slightly younger Joel Johnson. So who knows, I suppose.

Just talked to some people already at the track. Joel is there along with Dieter and Josh Cyrul. Cyrul is pitting in the Jaco/SMC Booth. Fantom motors has supposedly paid his entries. Associated is supporting the cars for him. But there was also a mention that Josh and Erinie had worked out their differences and he would be back in with Trinity tomorrow. So who knows!! Cant wait to get there and see the Drama unfold!!!

Josh was at the Trinity race here last month, he was responsible for corner marshalling the "novice" class, and when I say novice, I mean NOVICE!.
Josh had a smile on his face the entire time. He also helped anyone who asked him for help. So I would not say that he has any big ego.

I will be at the snowbird event tomorrow, but unfortunantly I do not think I will have internet access. If I do, I will be sure to post some goodies.

By the way, when it comes to 1/12 scale. I think Dave Chester has that class wrapped up! He drives better than anyone I have ever seen, he just does not get those "special" motors the other MIB get.

MIB means Men In Black, incase you were not joking about not knowing. It was dirived by the black team shirt thing.

Well, having never met the man in person I cannot form a personal opinion of the Josh Cyrul. I do however frequent a track that is home to no less than 3 factory drivers, and every single one of them have nothing but praise for Mr. Cyrul. From what I have been told Josh makes himself available to everyone at the track regardless of experience or equipment. And only rivaled by Matt Francis in his willingness to do so. Thanx

I guess you'sd have been better off with 19 turn foam then.
Too many variables with tires and inserts when it comes to rubber tires.

I'm running 19 turn foam and pro mod.
